Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Abundance. Oct. 1st. 2009

Abundance.

What does abundance mean to you?  How do we generate it?  It has a whole host of meanings on Wikipedia, from ecology to economy... I'm looking at the meaning which is the opposite of scarcity at the moment.

We can create abundance in all areas of our life --

-in relationships abundance is in the love and communion between two people,

-in finances abundance is of wealth,

-in health abundance is our physical vitality and fit-ness,

-in the spirit realm it's joy, gratitude, generousity, faith, and love or qi.

We can generate abundance in many different areas of life.  The common denominator is the concentration of the desired elements, and the absence of scarcity.

One could say there is no such thing as scarcity in the universe, just like the perspective there is no darkness, just absence of light; and there is no cold, just absence of heat.  The universe doesn't recognize these negatives as actual, we can just measure or record the "absence of," in physics. (You may like to read the entertaining myth that Albert Einstein spoke about this and proved that "God exists" as a young boy in school, http://www.facebook.com/l/cd68c;www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/e/einstein-god.htm )

If you look closely at the fact that as children we didn't ever worry about "not enough" of something, we just knew what we wanted and went about finding a way to get it.  When we had a desire we would make it known.  It's only as we grew older we started to believe that there are limitations in life... scarcity and limitations are learned beliefs.  What would it take to let go of these blocks, limitations and fears of there not being enough in our lives?  Why not embrace the reality that there is always enough -- love, money, vitality... abundance of anything we can conceive!

"...rather, on the contrary, it is just an absence of light. There is no darkness anywhere, you cannot find it, it is simply an absence." Osho

Abundance of love and light infinite beings,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Unconditional Love  Oct. 2nd, 2009

Just went to a fabulous tantra yoga experience with girl friends... bonding. What an awesome way to open up the heart space, despite being in a room of strangers.  The aim of tantra yoga is to expand awareness in all states of consciousness. Tantra Yoga had been one of the potent powers for the spiritual regeneration of the Hindus.

The practice is incredibly liberating and joyful on many levels, through meditation, chanting, music, dancing, and more.  Interestingly, again "a practice."   Love is one thing, and the unconditional aspect is something where we let go of the perception of good or bad, right or wrong, all judgement is suspended, only the pure essence of love remains.  Admittedly this takes practice, although the more awareness you allow yourself to play in, the more you'll find it flows with unconscious competence.

Each portion of our experience in the class was designed to open us up, from our toe tips right out the top of our heads (and vice versa, back and forth, round and round), with emphasis in our hearts.  The effect was a feeling of freedom, authenticity, connection, openness, loving energy.

When we realize there is no reason to keep wearing our masks, and we surrender, there is total acceptance, allowance, the "is-ness" of "Be-ing."  And then, the divinity of all shines forth - this is the unconditional love space, energy space.  Pure bliss, and sooo worth cultivating.  What else are we humans to do? Be. Do.

From Shakti and Shiva through me to you,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Awareness & Connection Oct. 5th, 2009

Google Earth is a very facinating tool.  You first look at the whole planet, and then slowly it will zoom in on any street address as if you are flying in from outer space right up to the door of the house!

The earth seems rather small and fragile when you zoom in from this perspective.  We are really really tiny, and at the same time we are really all connected.  I think we just occasionally forget that we're one species on this planet.

Ever think about a friend or family member and then see them, or they'll phone/text/IM/email you moments later?  There is tremendous telepathy between us all because we are all energetically connected, even with our separate physical bodies.

Allowing ourselves to recognize our connections with each other tends to enhance our consciousness as human beings.  For example, a wooden chair originated from a tree.  There was someone who cut down the tree to make the wood to create the chair, someone who sold the wood to the carpenter/furniture maker, someone who carved the wood into the chair, someone who sold the chair in the retail store, and then we purchase it and sit on it.

Now this is a lengthy way to break down all the intricate transactions and interactions we have as humans that generate all the tools, gadgets and conveniences we touch/eat/use/ride/function with and as on a daily basis... there are so so many.

How often do we remember to be grateful for these connections that span our globe that seems at times so big, and also as if it's growing smaller all the time?  Let's see what happens to our consciousness if we pause to consider all the steps it takes to create a tube of toothpaste, a backpack, a car, a highway, or even an elevator.  Let's experiment to see how we feel noticing the connections - less connected, more connected, indifferent - what do you feel towards all the human beings in this crazy equation?

What we choose to do or be has the power to affect others in our world.  We are all in the same equation called life on earth, that's the cosmic giggle.

Ommm,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Motivation  Oct. 7th, 2009

Motivation.

What motivates you?

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Not the "have tos," but the "get tos" - you know the things that give you a spring in your step, twinkle in your eye, whatever generates excitement for you.

I'm curious what makes the difference between something you talk about, think about, and then the somethings that you are moved to take action on.

Who is willing to share this information with me?

My motivation comes from making a difference in people's lives by inspiring, empowering, and supporting them in being the greatness of themselves.  I love watching people blossom, their hearts open, and they look truly alive.  This is where Invigorate U came from, the desire to support people in tapping into their inner light, in body, mind and spirit.

We all have these internal light switches, no matter where you are on your journey, we can motivate and turn our lights on.  So what motivates you?

N a m a s t e,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Recognition  Oct. 8th, 2009

Thank you for the responses to "what motivates you."  I really enjoy hearing from you guys.

Tonight I'm curious about what it takes to go the extra mile, when we choose to delight and amaze someone.  I find it's the little things that make a big difference, like giving someone a gift that is not out of necessity, but a sincere thank you for their generosity or good deed.

I did this recently, gave someone a thank you gift that they totally didn't expect, and I received further generosity in return... also unexpectedly.  Now, in terms of business, this is an important revelation that makes a big difference in retaining customers.  And the number one cause of losing customers is when we (the customer) feel that a company doesn't care about us.  However, it's even sweeter when there is no particular motivation or agenda, and the extra something arises out of a simple intention of being kind and caring.

So let's take this a step further, as a new exercise (a practice) we get to acknowledge ourselves for whatever we feel proud of accomplishing for the day.  We get to pat ourselves on the back and give ourselves some recognition, because we may not hear the praise or encouragement from outside often enough.  We all tend to leave ourselves at the bottom of the list for receiving recognition and gratitude at times.  If you are at a loss for what to acknowledge, how about for simply showing up to read something to Invigorate U.

Love and light infinite beings,

Valerie

Subject: invigorating U Practice for Today:Connection Oct. 10th, 2009

Human connection.  We are all connected.  One big energy soup.

Perhaps this is why we like to touch, see, hear and taste each other, so reassuring.

Ever see how long you can look into someone else's eyes without looking away?  Or, if that's too scary look in a mirror into your own eyes for awhile.

What do you see?  Remember to smile, we all too often take ourselves too seriously.  Who are you going to be today?

N a m a s t e infinite beings,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today:Uninhibited Oct. 11th, 2009

How fun is it to be totally uninhibited?  What does it take to be totally free...  to be authentic and play in the moment?  It's thrilling to really completely let go.

Why else do we ride roller coasters, go bungee jumping, and jump out of planes - we like to let go of control as much as we like to hang tightly onto it,  don't we?

Dancing is a great place to be uninhibited, letting music shift us into our hearts and get out of our heads.

Watch little children, they have no attachment to ego, no need for these filters.  Run, skip, dance, jump, bounce and play with total abandon.  When was the last time you surrendered to being 100% free without a care about how you looked?  Blast the tunes and go for it!!  No one is watching that matters as much as your freedom.

Love and light,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today, Inward & Outward Focused Oct. 12, 2009

I marvel at the balance between inward and outward focus.  Sometimes it serves to be focused within and in self-reflection, but not too long, not too analytical... that will interfere with the zen-ness of appreciating the beauty of the world, and with being in service to others, and Be-ing in general.

How do we identify the yin-yang balance between the two spheres?  I just know there is a balance, an equilibrium to it all.  When you're in it you'll know it.  It is especially evident when we're not seeking anything.  When we're just Be-ing Present.

Not in the past, not in the future, totally immersed in being here now.

No judgement about anything good or bad, just being here now.

"...I am arriving at that circle where one works on oneself as a gift to other people so that one doesn't create more suffering. I help people as a work on myself and I work on myself to help people." Ram Dass

"As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others." Marianne Williamson

Ram Dass and Marianne Williamson are awe-some examples of inward and outward focused at the same time.

Subject: oops, hit send somehow before the end! Invigorating U Practice for Today

Oct. 14, 2009 cont.

I have also heard that a major reason businesses fail is because customers leave for this very reason, they feel that no one cares.

We live in a fast paced world, so someone going out of their way to demonstrate they care about our experience is certainly the exception more than the rule.  Yet, this is what makes the difference between good and great businesses, and good and great character.

How can we each make the greatest effort to specifically connect with one another?  Let's notice if a client, or even more so, a friend or family member would benefit from our really focused caring attention.

These are the experiences that can mean the most through the ups and downs of everyday living.

Om Shanti,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Intention Reality Check Oct. 18, 2009

Intention is about the creation of our true desires.  Intention from our heart and innermost core sends these vibrational rockets out into the universe, like energetic messagers.  We get to be super clear and authentic with it, this way when something shows up, we're ready, willing, and able to take action on it.  If what you've got showing up in your life doesn't match what you think you'd like... perhaps a refinement reality check is in order.

Today I share an excerpt from Nicolas Roquefort-Villeneuve II, who is a relationship-counseling  and consulting expert, his business is called Ready to Choose, and he has a group on FB 'What Else Is There?'  Nicholas is someone I respect tremendously, he is brilliant in my opinion, totally grounded, and gives anyone a really potent reality check.  Be ready folks this is not sugar coated in any way shape or form.  In his words, "It is sometimes good to get a reality check, especially when myths, fantasies, illusions and lies have become the core of one's life..."

This story below is a powerful example of what intention, change and growth is about.  The following is an excerpt of his writing, and the link to the whole article is on the bottom.

"The power to change can be illustrated through the following story, which I will make as short as possible, so I do not (hopefully) bore you to death. At the beginning of the year, I worked with Mark who, at the time, was still heavily addicted to opium-derived prescription drugs; and he had been for over fifteen years. The day a judge ruled that he would not be granted partial custody of his two children because of his heavy addiction and his dreadful financial situation, he contacted me, ready to put an end to years of abuse. Mark lives in Los Angeles. Since I had to meet with clients in the area, I told him I would fly there, that we would work a total of ten hours at the rate of two hours a day, for a total cost of $3,850. He cashed-in part of his retirement fund to come up with the money. After the first two hours, he was emotionally free from the drugs. After the following four hours, he was physically free from the drugs. I was actually the one who experienced all the withdrawal effects. The last four hours we spent together were about processing what else he wanted to create for his life, while inviting his kids, ex-wife and other people in this new healthy dynamic. Then, Mark instantly resumed writing and, today, he is in the process of selling a screenplay to a TV production company. This is what the true desire to change can generate when people are ready to do whatever it takes to achieve it.

Knowing and acknowledging that change is required does not have to be painful. It is simply a realization after having brutally looked at those choices from the past, which have stopped functioning and which are still running your life right now. Change does not have to be comfortable at first. However, if your instinct tells you that you are indeed on the right track, why would you doubt it? Why would you second-guess yourself? And if embarking on a new path becomes chaotic at some point, there is absolutely no one who can prevent you from choosing differently." Link to Nicholas' whole article here: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=40716827047&topic=10230

I am thankful to have received a reality check from Nicholas just a few months back.  What, who or where might you need to receive a reality check and do you have the support to do so?  Let me know if you are ready to take the next step to whatever it takes to Invigorate U!

Commit to asking yourselves "what else is possible?"

Om Shanti,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practiace for Today: Change  Oct. 19, 2009

Does change scare you? Do you get frozen, paralyzed, fearful?

Or does change motivate you?  Do you get excited, and experience the  positive feelings of anticipation of what's to come?  For most people change is varying degrees of uncomfortable, and we always have a choice in whether we participate and how much, how fast.

These days we are living in a world where change is the rule, not the exception.  We get to choose whether we want to adapt or resist.  We've all heard the expression what you resist persists.  Yet often we still resist as painful as that may be as well.

I read somewhere in east asian philosophy of the benefits of being like a willow tree which is bendable in a storm, as opposed to being like stiffer more rigid branches which seem sturdy but will break in a storm.  (Funnily enough I can't seem to locate the source of this in Google, so I'll take credit for this version of the metaphor for now.)

Lately, I've noticed that the tiniest adjustments make the largest differences.  Like the 212 Rule - water is hot at 211 degrees, and it boils at 212.  Just one degree of difference will create steam that can power a locamotive.  Pretty amazing, just one degree.  Think about golfing, how minor are the adjustments that will radically effect your accuracy and consistancy?  Amazingly, these are tiny too.

So how do we bend a little, maybe we bend by leaning back to enjoy the ride a bit more.  If we take adapting and shifting in stride, and keep our sense of humor, we realize we don't have to take ourselves so seriously. Soon the changes that seemed so insurrmountable will become less menacing, and easily navigable.  Laughter creates endorphins and feeling these makes everything easier.  The big key to these little adjustments that create big changes is awareness. Keep your head above the sand no matter how scary it may seem. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.  Sometimes, it's not even a tunnel at all, somewhere a window shut so it got dark, and just around the corner another one has opened for you.

Durings times of change we all can use support-- ask for it, with arms wide open.

When our arms are wide open, so are our hearts.

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Commitment  Oct. 20, 2009

Big scary word, 'ay?

This is an interesting one.  Commitment means different things to different people.  Clearly.  Have you ever been disappointed when you've had expectations and someone hasn't shown up for their commitments with you?  Doesn't feel so good, does it?

Let me share an exercise with you that I just heard-- play with me for a minute here.

Get up and go pick up a chair (one that's easy that you know you can lift, nothing that will create a hernia please).  Ok, great.  Nice job!  Put it down again.

Now, don't pick up that chair.  Just let it sit there.  Super!  Good job again. (If you're not playing, just reading still, you'll get this more clearly by going to find your chair to pick up and play along.)

Ok, here's the tricky part, ready?  Try to pick up the chair.  Don't actually pick it up though.  Just try.  Confused?  There is no such thing as trying really, just doing and not doing.  Even Yoda teaches this lesson to Luke Skywalker when he's teaching him about using the force.  Saying you are trying is a sneaky way to get out of accountability for something that you've chosen "not to do."  We are always at choice.  Trying is not truly an option, we either do something or don't do it.  If we fail to make something happen, that's ok.  That's doing and not succeeding, which is different.

Saying "Yes" or "No" feels entirely different than saying "I'll try."   This will force us to be honest with ourselves, with our choices and our priorities.  This is very powerful for our self esteem.  It doesn't feel good when we don't honor our commitments, especially to ourselves.  This lack of follow through actually errodes our sense of integrity and dissolves our personal power.  No one beats us up more than ourselves when we disappoint.

Let's build up our personal power and eliminate the words "try," "tried," and "trying" from our vocabulary.  Just do or don't do, you get to choose.

Love and light infinite beings,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Programming  Oct. 21, 2009

How often do you think about if you could have anything you truly desire added to your life what would you create?

A vision board is a powerful way to start opening the space, the dream space that we have forgotten that we have.  When you were little you didn't hesitate to tell people what you wanted.  It was top of mind, wasn't it?  What happened?

Programming.

We are so easily swayed by programming.  From childhood til now so many of us have years of programming that isn't adding value to our lives, so we get to go to workshops, read books, listen to cds, watch dvds, and do all we can in our power to undo it.

We may think we've got it all handled, but what is our subconscious telling us?  What are our results?  What areas aren't good enough?  This may be a tough love conversation, however, it's worth having - life is meant to be lived to the fullest.  Every last drop of it.  Wherever we are settling or going through the motions, let's take action.  Let's redo our programming with positive affirmations, with nurturing sounds and visuals, with the stuff that will remind us who we know we are and what we're creating to get to the next level.

These are "questions to generate your life," what will you choose:

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: The Practice  Oct. 26, 2009

What is your practice?  What is the infinite possibility of Invigorating YOU?

We have 100,000,000 receptors in our eyes. 50 Million in each. We have 24,000 vibrating fibers in our ears.  What get to CHOOSE what we put into our systems - and boy does it matter extraordinarily.

What are you creating?  Persistance is an atmosphere I create by my daily habits.

"Have you ever wondered why so many dreams and good ideas seem to fade into the dust? We are great at thinking about the things we want to have, and who we want to be. We are masters at talking a great game. We believe our words are going to get us what we desire and deserve. But truth be told, it is all just pie in the sky without taking that one step that will turn our dreams and goals into reality.

That all important step is taking action! That's right, taking consistent action. Too many people fail to take this critical step."  http://www.facebook.com/l/6651f;TGIT.org

Intention raises the miracle power of achieving our dreams, when we take action we turn them into goals and can make them a reality.

Results are a direct result of the roots we develop by our consistant actions.

How deliberately are you creating what you would like to be, do and have in your life? It's a question of seeing it, owning it, living it and being it.  This is the order.  SEE what motivates you to take action.  Discern what is your reason 'WHY' first, what gets you going, what's your passion.  Mine is to Invigorate U to be your greatness in mind, body, and spirit.

Om shanti,

Valerie

Subject: Invigorating U Practice for Today: Resistance vs. Allowance  Oct. 29, 2009

What happens when you have resistance in your thoughts - do you feel free or stuck?  It's impossible to be open when we have resistance in our thoughts.  How about allowance?  Doesn't the word allowance open up your mind to infinite possibilities?  It's expansive just saying, I am in allowance of me.

My journey living in Florida has been about letting go of resistance to what my career looks like, and opening to allowance from the time I arrived.  I never "planned" to move to Florida.  Not in a million years.  I am a native New Yorker, grew up in Greenwich Village.

However, I found the more I opened up to the possibilities that leaving the darkness of NY and my failing business and my roller coaster of a marriage, the more healing and light I found.  So what was initially, "do you want to get out of NYC for the winter while dealing with your divorce," became me staying with a loving nurturing friend and developing a yoga practice. Slowly but surely I chose to stay here and embrace the fact that I didn't really miss home and was enoying the weather, the beach, the pace and the absence of emotional roller coasters!  6 months later I was on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica, and 1 year later I was graduating from Summit Education recognizing I am a "Powerful, Inspiring, Loving Light Warrior Woman."

It's going to be 2 years in January and I have reached a new level of allowance and passion though my authenticity.  I have a burgeoning personal development business Invigorating U to be empowered, inspired and connected to your greatness in mind, body, and spirit.  Thank you readers for all of your support and encouragement along the way!

What will it take for you to tap into allowance of your personal journey, not caring what it looks like?  Who would you like to be?  What could you allow yourself to start or stop doing that would create new possibilities?

N a m a s t e infinite beings,

Valerie
